I bought mine in 1981 and love it so much I bought my son and son in law their own last year. We all wear and use them daily. Bowen should make the Black buckles again they look great

It’s a lighter blade than the competition, thinner as well, which I see as positives. The main negative is the straight prong that is used to secure your belt would be better suited with a ball prong for better belt retention. To me, the prong is a pretty big point of contention, but I think it’s workable. I would give it 3 1/2 stars, but I will round up as I like the product more than I don’t.

SUPER sharp. Be thee warned brothers.
When in place, it’s comfortable and the sleeve on the Bowen belt keeps the buckle knife in place. Easy to deploy the knife when needed. Incredibly innovative, creative knife buckle. Some good engineering went into this knife. I’ve used this knife countless times so far (in the short amount of time I’ve had it). You will never regret having this belt on you.

I have been carring a Bowen wide single edge belt knife since 1981 and that knife went every where I went and was always there when I need it for a tool ( when you car breaks down on the freeway ) the second one I purchased a replacement knife was in 1991, Sonny Bowen personally cut down to 2 7/6 inch to get past Californina’s belt knife law. I even today carry the newer style version. I will always carry a Bowen Knife. I have given these knives as gifts. They are fantastic. You can never leave it at home like you can with a pocket knife because it help hold your pants up.
